If your study right is expiring, neither you have completed your studies within the legal  time range (normative duration + extra time), you can apply for additional time to finish your studies.

Remember to apply for extra study time before your study right expires

The provision of extra study times requires a student to submit

1. a realistic personal study plan (PSP) leading to completion of studies
2. the receipt of payment of the handling fee

According to the legislation (1440/2016) a 50 euro handling fee is applicable. The fee is to be paid in LABshop:Study time extension – handling fee

Add the following note to the payment: handling fee of right to study.

1. The receipt of payment must include the name of the student, and the bank archiving code, which proves that the payment has been executed.

• The application will not be considered if the receipt of the handling fee is not attached

2. Student’s possibility to graduate in reasonable time, possible given extensions as well as student’s life situation are considered.

The Degree Manager makes the final decision, if the extra time will be approved.

Extra time will appear to student's Peppi -profile one semester at a time. The maximum extra time given is two semesters = one study year.

During additional study time one cannot enroll as absent.

Notice! You can´t apply for extra study time if you are missing more than 60 ects from the bachelor degree. In that case, for further information you need to contact study counsellor of your faculty.

Applications received between 1 April and 31 May will be processed in early June. The applicant will be informed of the decision by 17 June. For applications received between June and August, decisions will be made in August.
