Congratulations - you are now a LAB degree student!

First of all, have you confirmed your study place? To confirm your study place, you must accept it by the deadline given in the acceptance email. You will lose the study place if you do not confirm it by the deadline and pay the tuition fee if needed.

Please accept the study place electronically at the Studyinfo.fi –service by registering through the “My Studyinfo” –link at the top right-hand corner of the front page. You also need to enroll as present or absent for the autumn term 2025 at Oili -service. When you confirm the study place at Studyinfo, you can continue directly to Oili -service.

In case you are not able to confirm your study place electronically, please send an email to admissions@lab.fi. Mention your whole name and the degree programme you have been accepted to. Tell that you want to confirm the study place and enroll for the autumn term of 2025.

Please note that you can enroll as absent for the first semester based on legislative reasons only, i.e. military or civilian service, parental leave, and/or health condition.

Notice! A student may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term. This rule applies to all higher education.

New study right

The student services will create you a degree study right after you have accepted your study place and enrolled as present.

Your new study right begins on 1.8.2025, but you have to wait for a confirmation email from Student Services before activating your LUT account. The confirmation email includes information on your new student number, study group, and tutor teacher. 

LUT account

If you have completed your open UAS studies at LAB, you will get a new student number, but your LUT ID and email will stay the same. After receiving the confirmation email mentioned above, go to https://id.lut.fi and change your password.

If you don't have a prior study right at LAB, activate your LUT account at https://id.lut.fi after receiving the confirmation email from Student Services.

Enrolling to courses

After you have activated your new LUT account, you can enroll in courses in Peppi. Enrollment is open until 31.8.2025.

If you want to make sure in advance that you are enrolled in a particular course, you can send an email to the teacher of that course.

Transfer of open UAS studies to the new study right

If you have been a LAB path student, your open UAS studies will be transferred to the new study right by Student Services at the beginning of the semester. Please note that there are lots of studies to transfer, which means that you may have to wait for a few weeks for the studies to show up.

Even though your student number changes, your old courses should still be available in Moodle.

If you have completed your path studies at another UAS, please present your transcript of records to your teacher tutor at the beginning of your studies.

Student card/keycard

If you have ordered KOE’s student card/keycard during your open path studies, you must order a new card when you are informed of your new student number. Read more about student card and membership.

Tuition fee

As a new degree student, you may have to pay a tuition fee. Because of your path studies, you are entitled to have a 20% discount on your first-year tuition fee. More information about tuition fees and scholarships will be found here.
