Courses on the E-campus are entirely online. If the course includes online meetings/lectures, a link to them can be found on the course's Moodle platform.

Campus area in Lahti consists of the buildings in Mukkulankatu 19 (M19) and Niemenkatu 73 (N73 or Nie73):

In the course schedule you can see the address where the course will take place, e.g. M19_A220: room A220 at Mukkulankatu or NIE73_B233: room B233 at Niemenkatu.

Lappeenranta campus is located at Yliopistonkatu 36, 53850 Lappeenranta.

LUT University has introduced strong authentication service for all students. The strong authentication service protects your identity from falling into the wrong hands and other unauthorized use. Authentication has been implemented with the Duo MFA service. Install the Duo Mobile app on your phone and/or other mobile device from your device's app store.

The LAB University of Applied Sciences uses the e-learning management system Moodle: https://moodle.lut.fi . Use your LUT Network ID (the LAB Student ID) to log in the environment. Log in with the green ‘LAB University of Applied Sciences login’ button with your LAB student ID using your LAB UAS email address (e.g. firstname.surname@student.lab.fi) and AD password.

MOODLE – user guide for students

MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are LAB UAS online courses. The LAB MOOC course platform can be found at https://mooc.lab.fi/. Login to the LAB MOOC with your LUT ID using the 'LAB/LUT Login' button.

1. Go to: https://cloud.timeedit.net/lut-saimia/web
2. Choose: LAB – Public Timetables
3. Choose: Timetables of courses
4. Write the code of the implementation (=course) (e.g. KF00CG44-3008)
5. Click: ‘Add all’ => 'Show schedule'
6. Click: 'Text' at the bottom of the page

Some of the courses can be completed at student’s own pace in Moodle/LAB MOOC and do not include scheduled lectures/meetings.

Some courses include an Exam - electronic examination. If the course includes an Exam, it is mentioned in the course description. The examination is held in separate examination halls at campuses. Exam visit service means that you can take an exam from your own university in another university's electronic Exam space.

Course materials (e.g. drawing tools, pens, paper etc.) if used in the course and excursions are not included in the Open UAS fee. The open UAS student has to pay for them separately.

Course books can be borrowed from the LUT Academic Library.
