Students completing a degree at LAB University of Applied Sciences are covered under the insurance policy as follows:

All degree-seeking students of LAB are covered by Statutory Accident Insurance. With respect to pupils and students covered by the insurance, the cover is valid only when the student participates in a practical class, on-the-job learning, practical training or competence-based qualification or, as part of basic education, during a period of work experience in an educational institution or other location determined by the education provider or educational institution, which is in accordance with the curriculum or qualification requirements and comparable to work.

The insurance is also valid on the way from one's dwelling or educational institution to a practical training, on-the job learning or work experience site or a place for taking a competence-based qualification, determined by the education provider, and back. However, ordinary daily travel from one's dwelling to an educational institution and back or deviations from the daily route are not covered by the insurance.

Voluntary Group Insurance for Accidents
The insurance is in force during activities related to the curriculum or the degree plan and as well as during related immediate trips.

For the studies and placements abroad it is recommended to take separate insurance.
