New student, remember to apply for an apartment! Students are responsible for applying for and finding their own accommodation. Housing is usually available to those who actively search for accommodation in different locations and with different housing providers. But it is important to note that you may not always find the apartment you are looking for.

Student housing is designed as student homes and housing is effortless. In most cases, the rent also includes internet access, electricity and water charges. Living in a student apartment is affordable and is a safe option when the landlord is a reliable student housing community.

Lahden Talot offers a wide range of apartments for students in Lahti. You can apply for student housing or look for a home in a diverse other housing stock. Housing application to Lahti

Students who start their studies in programmes on the Lahti campus can apply for student accommodation in Lahti.

Lahden Talot processes housing applications in the order in which they are received. If you apply by the deadline, you will have better chances of receiving accommodation at the beginning of the semester.

Hundreds of students start their studies in Lahti every autumn and apply for accommodation during the summer.

Please submit an application directly to Lahden Talot Oy and visit the Lahden Talot website at lahdentalot.fi for detailed application instructions.

Note! Lahden Talot housing application is valid for 3 months. Students can apply housing also without a Finnish ID. Just remember to use the English version of the webpage (the application of Finnish language version requires a Finnish ID).

Lappeenranta Student Housing Foundation LOAS

LOAS is a housing organisation for all of Lappeenranta’s students. We offer high-quality and affordable student apartments to more than 3,000 students. Apply for an apartment directly online: we accept applications around the year. Applications are also available from the LOAS office.

Students who start their studies on the Lappeenranta campus can apply for student accommodation directly from the Lappeenranta Student Housing Foundation (LOAS). Please visit the LOAS website at loas.fi/en for detailed application instructions.

LOAS processes housing applications in the order in which they are received. Hundreds of students start their studies in Lappeenranta every autumn and apply for accommodation during the summer.

Please note! that you have to accept the first apartment offered to you. If you reject the offer or it expires, LOAS will not be able to offer you any more apartments in the near future.

LOAS offers only long-term accommodation. If you study in the flexible distance learning programmes and do not need long-term accommodation, please find out about short-term accommodation options e.g. at gosaimaa.com/en.

Lappeenrannan Asuntopalvelu Oy is a reliable and secure landlord owned by the Lappeenranta city. We own approximately 200 buildings and 5000 rental apartments in different parts of Lappeenranta.

The apartments for students are shared (mainly two students per apartment) and furnished only with a bed and a mattress. This option is available this autumn more widely for new students than before, because accommodation and especially shared apartments are hard to find when LOAS cannot offer accommodation for all new students.
