With the entry level test related to the textbook used in courses German 1 to 3, you can assess your German language skills yourself. The score you receive in the test gives a recommendation on which course you could attend.

Online – Take the test in a web browser

Instructions on the website in English:

• Do the test carefully, there is no time limit.
• Read the instructions for each question carefully. If you're not sure what the right answer is, leave the question unanswered. Unanswered questions will be considered as false answers.
• The Weiter button allows you to move forward, the Zurück button takes you back to the previous question. Above the view, there is a question list that gives you access to each question.
• You can stop the test at any stage. Questions answered so far will be evaluated.
• To stop, click Alles Einreichen.

Click Weiter to continue from the starting page. On the next page, type your name and email address. When you have finished the test, you will receive the score of the test by email.

Note! The results of the online test, which will be sent to e-mail, will give you a recommendation in which chapter to start studying. At the bottom of this page, there is a table showing the courses recommended by the German teachers at the LAB Language Center.
