What is Duo MFA?
Duo MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is a method that enhances security by using two separate authentication steps:
- Log in with your LUT credentials and password.
- Confirm the login via the Duo Mobile app.

Why is Duo MFA important?
- Protects your identity and prevents phishing.
- Improves the security of LUT and LAB systems.
Setting up Duo MFA
- Install Duo Mobile: Download the app from your device's app store (Android 11.0+ or iOS 15.0+).
If your operating system is too old, try updating it to the latest one or use a different device such as a tablet.
- Activate Duo Mobile: Use the activation link or QR code received via email and save the account to the app.
N.B! Only codes from the most recent activation message will work. You can always subscribe to a new activation email here.
- Use Duo Mobile: Approve the login request in the Duo Mobile app.
Before you accept the login, check that the login request comes from the location you are currently logging into.
