From a bachelor’s degree to a master’s degree at LAB University of Applied Sciences

By completing a master’s degree, you can deepen and expand your expertise. The degree provides you with strong theoretical knowledge in your field and the ability to carry out tasks requiring expertise. The central part of the qualification is a working life development project, which constitutes the thesis work. A master’s degree from a university of applied sciences gives you the same qualifications for public sector positions as a degree from a university.

It is possible to gain a master’s degree from a university of applied sciences in a flexible manner while working. The extent of the studies is either 60 or 90 credits. The admission criteria for a master’s degree programme are a qualification from a university of applied sciences or a similar qualification and at least two years of work experience in the field. Universities of applied sciences are part of joint application process.

From a master’s degree from a university of applied sciences to doctoral studies

A master’s degree from a university of applied sciences enables you to pursue further studies in a university. Doctoral programmes are not part of the joint application process, and you must apply for a position as a doctoral student directly from the university.
