Examination special arrengements and additional time

Additional time to complete an examination

For example, in exams the individual study arrangements can be:

  • additional time for examinations
  • use of separate exam room

These arrangements are provided to support a student’s learning, when needed. In order to get individual study arrangements, the student must have documented diagnosis (such as dyslexia or attention deficit disorder) or expert opinion. Another reason (e.g. poor language skills, not a verified reason) does not entitle to additional time.

If you need the individual study arrangements in examinations:

  1. If you already have a documented diagnosis or expert opinion
    • See the exam specific instructions below
  2. If you do not already have a documented diagnosis or expert opinion, or you wish to receive consultation regarding the need of individual study arrangements in exams
