Important dates for international students starting in Spring 2026!
Studies will start in December 2025 with online pre-orientation in week 50.
Campus orientation will be held in January 2026 during week 2. If residing in Finland or you are citizens of EU-/EEA countries, you must begin studies on campus then.
The last day to arrive on campus is 15th January 2026!
The last day to make any tuition fee payment changes is 31st January 2026. This applies to both postponements and refunds.
If there is a delay on your residence permit, you may arrive after the orientation but only until January 15th, 2026.
Inform your tutor teacher about late arrival and attend the orientation online.
Your tutoring teacher will help you getting started with your studies. All courses will be on campus, except Online-studies.
If you cannot arrive by 15 January due to your own* residence permit delay, you can either postpone the start of studies OR you can resign by 31.1.2026.
In case of postponing the start:
You must confirm your final attendance status between 1.1.-15.1.2026 to LAB.scholarship@lab.fi
In case of postponing, your tuition fee payment will be saved for the next possible starting semester. A saved payment is later refundable only in case of negative residence permit decision.
Your study time will be running from the intake semester, but you will still have enough time to complete your studies within the study right.
During the postponing period you cannot complete any studies, even online.
*A family member’s permit delay is not an acceptable reason for postponing.
