Duo MFA: FAQ
When you use HAKA login and log in through another university, you are not required to use LUT/LAB Universities MFA. However, you can get MFA verification request from your school's login service, if your school has one.
Download the Duo Mobile app from your mobile device's app store:
You cannot activate several devices in parallel for the same account as a means of identification in Duo. For example, if you have both a LAB student account and a staff account, you can activate both accounts in the same Duo Mobile app. However, you will not be able to activate more than one mobile device at a time to use your LAB student account in Duo.
Request a new activation email, install Duo on your new phone, and activate Duo Mobile with a new activation email.
Yes, Duo works in the same way in Finland as abroad, with any phone subscription in use. You can use Duo with both WiFi and mobile data, or if you don't have them, you can use the Passcode feature.
Yes, Duo Mobile allows you to activate and use parallel accounts.
No, you can only use the Duo Mobile app for MFA authentication in LUT and LAB services.
This means that Duo Mobile is not activated.
Unlock Duo Mobile and try to sign in again. Try to restart the Duo Mobile app.
If it's your own device, you can set a webpage as trusted. When you get a "Do you trust this browser" message, respond "Yes, I trust the browser". You will need to renew the verification at certain intervals.
