The LAB University of Applied Sciences will have continuous graduation from 1 August 2023. At the same time, we will also introduce an electronic certificates. The renewal increases the reliability of the degree certificate, speeds up the receiving of the certificate, and makes it easier to store.

More reliable than printed certificate

An electronic certificate is reliable because it is much more difficult to forge an electronic certificate than a printed certificate.

The electronic degree certificate is an official original certificate with an electronic signature of the rector or vice rector. You will receive a link to your email. With this link you are able to download the certificate. The authenticity of the certificate can be verified using the identification services of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency or through the LAB's website: Verifying Electronic Documents.The electronic degree certificate is the only official certificate. Paper copy of electronic certificate is not an official degree certificate and therefore we no longer provide paper copies of the certificate.

LAB will have continuous graduation from 1 August 2023

Graduation is possible once the application for the degree has been approved by the teacher tutor and Student customer services and signed by the Rector.

Apply for the graduation in Peppi

There are two steps to filling in the application form.

The first step is to check that all the mandatory steps of the application form in Peppi have been filled in and send it to your teacher tutor for checking. The teacher tutor will return the pre-checked application to you.

In the second step, you send the revised and finalised application to your study secretary for approval. At this stage, your graduation date will be determined. Graduation is guaranteed within 3 weeks of your application being received and approved.
