On the Personal information tab, the student’s personal details and contact information are displayed. In Sisu, this includes the person’s first names, last name, personal identity code, date of birth, gender, email address, and student number.  

Under My profile→ Personal information, you will find the Personal information section. Students can update their contact information, such as their phone number, secondary email address, and address details.  

Personal Information Update Request

You can update your first name(s), last name, and/or personal identity code. You may submit one or several changes using the same form.

Please note that personal information can only be updated in LUT Universities' student information systems after the changes have been registered with the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV).

To process your request, you must attach an official document verifying the updated personal information. Accepted attachments include, for example, a photo or copy of a valid passport, identity card, or driving licence. You may also provide another official document showing the updated personal information. Personal information cannot be updated without sufficient supporting documentation.

If you are updating your first name(s) or last name, the attachment must clearly show the updated personal information.

If you are updating your Personal Identity Code (Finnish social security number), you must provide a document showing both your previous and updated personal information. This may be, for example, a decision issued by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV). If you submit a photo of your updated identity document, you must also provide a photo of your previous identity document or another official document showing your previous personal information.
 

This is necessary so that we can verify your identity and update your information to match that of the correct student.

Personal information cannot be updated without sufficient supporting documents. Please note that you can only choose one of your existing official first names (or a part of it or a compound name) as your preferred name.
