Announcement 14.10.2025: Change in access to the Lahti Exam spaces starting from 15 October 2025
Starting from 15 October, the doors to the Exam spaces are open on weekdays from 8:45 to 16:15. Outside these hours, access is only possible with a personal access card or visitor card (please check "Access card instructions for Exam visitors").
Parking: Visitor parking only with eParking app (choose short-term parking). If you arrive by car, please read campus parking instructions.
Opening hours:Mon-Fri 9-19.
Starting 1 December 2025, the Exam space is open on weekdays at 9:00-21:00.
The Exam space is closed on 24-25 December 2025.
Exam visitors:The main doors will be closed from 22 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. Request a code at opetushelp@lut.fi at the latest by 14:00 December 19. Code requests will next be processed on 5 January 2026.
Access: Entrance to the building from the main doors. The doors to the Exam space are open on weekdays from 8:45 to 16:15. Outside these hours, access is only possible with a personal access card or visitor card. Please check the opening hours of the main doors: Lahti campus.
Lahti campus students: use your personal access card.
Exam visitors: When the main doors or the Exam space door are not open, you will need an access card. Request a code and get a visitor card from the daily Exam visitor card box. Read the Exam visitor instructions well in advance of the exam.
When the main door is locked, enter with your access card through the red doors by the mains doors.

The exam space doors are open from 8:45 to 16:15. When the main doors or the Exam space door are not open, you will need an access card to enter the Exam space. Use your personal (LUT/LAB) access card if you have some (Note! Lappeenranta access card is not valid), otherwise you can borrow a visitor card from the daily Exam visitor card box (see detailed instructions below). During opening hours, entrance at the main doors and after that through the red doors by the main doors.
Note! The main doors will be closed from 22 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. Request a code at opetushelp@lut.fi at the latest by 14:00 December 19. Code requests will next be processed on 5 January 2026.
Do this: 1. After booking an Exam visit-service to the Lahti campus, please request the Exam visitor card box code from opetushelp@lut.fi at the latest by 14:00 on the weekday before the exam. In the message, state the exact date and time of your exam and the number of the exam computer marked in the booking confirmation. Ask for a new code if you change your exam booking to another day. 2. You will receive the code in your email by the working day before the exam at the latest. If necessary, please also check your junk email folder. Do not share the code with others. 3. The Exam visitor card boxes are to the right of the main doors in the brick wall. Open the box by tapping the numeric code you received by email. The card box is opened by dragging from the top. 4. Take the access card from the box and make sure the door is locked. You can take any of the cards. 5. If you have several exams on the same day at the same campus, you can use the same access card throughout the day and return it to the Exam space mailbox after the last exam. 6. Important! After the exam, please remember to return the card to the mailbox in the Exam space. 7. In case of problems, please contact opetushelp@lut.fi.
Please note that examinations call for absolute silence. Even if your exam time has not started yet, someone else’s exam may be in progress. Remember that exiting and re‐entering the examination room in the middle of an exam is not allowed.
Take your ID with you to verify your identity. Make sure that you remember the password of your user account and the number of the computer in your Exam reservation.
Act accordingly:
Leave you overcoat and other belongings to the lockers in the exam room. You can also leave your overcoat on the coat rack outside the Exam room.
Storing with your own responsibility.
Take only the locker key with you to the exam workstation.
You are not allowed to use calculators, programmable calculators, any electronic devices, dictionaries, literature or any other material in the exam.
Snacks, water bottle, scrap paper or pens/pencils are not allowed either.
Find the right computer. The information is in the confirmation email you received after booking the time slot. The numbers are clearly marked on the workstations.
e.g. the notion EXAM001 in email message refers to computer number 1 in the exam room.
Leave the locker key on the table of the workstation where you are taking the exam.
There can be no items on the table during the exam.
Start the exam.
Exams start at hundred hours and finish at five to.
Be on time, but not too early, to cause as little interruption as possible.
Examination time starts to run from the start of your booking time.
