• If you wish to continue your parking permit as before, you do not need to take any action. However, please note the new pricing and new parking area arrangements.
• If you wish to cancel your valid parking permit or make changes to it, you can do so in the eParking service at eparking.fi or in the app.
  Note: All persons who had a valid eParking parking permit received a message in August informing them of the upcoming changes. We offered the possibility to cancel the parking permit immediately without a notice period. The other option was to continue the parking permit after 1 September – this did not require any action.

• If you come to campus by car, be prepared for paid parking. If you wish to park in a heating or non-heating pole space, you need a parking permit. You can obtain it at eparking.fi or in the eParking app. Another option is to park in the short-term parking area, which is paid separately.
• Instead of using your own car, we strongly recommend carpooling, city bikes, and public transport.

This was an error during the system change. We have contacted the eParking provider and apologize for the inconvenience. Any errors in the app should be reported directly to eParking customer service at info@eparking.fi. 

You can pay for the permit either for one month or for 12 months at a time. The annual fee includes a summer credit, meaning the price has been reduced by two free summer months.

Prices have remained the same since 2016. The increase was originally planned for 2022 but was postponed due to the renovation of the campus front yard. The new pricing is still affordable compared to other higher education campuses in Finland.

If you already paid for parking after 1 September 2025, these payments will be refunded to you during the autumn. The new pricing includes two free summer months, so if you paid for parking for a full year in advance, the summer credit for 2026 is already included. Parking permits are available in good supply. When you purchase a parking permit in the eParking service, you are automatically placed in a queue to wait for the permit to be granted. This does not mean that permits are unavailable, but the queue is a technical formality. We monitor and clear the queues continuously.

However, you should be prepared that even if you have a parking permit, it unfortunately does not automatically guarantee you a parking space. Especially on event days, parking spaces may fill up more quickly.

• Non-heating pole spaces are located in areas P2, P4, P5 and P6.
• Heating pole spaces are located in areas P3, P4, P5, P6 and P7.
• Electric car charging points can be found in areas P3, P4, P6 and P7.
• Short-term parking is located in the parking area in front of the LUT main entrance.
• Free guest parking spaces are located in the parking areas in front of the main entrances of LUT and LAB.

Previously, we also used areas P8 and P9, but they have now been merged into area P4. You will no longer find P8 and P9 markings on the map.

No. The charging price includes the parking charge. Please note that if you park in a charging point space, the car must also be charging. Charging points cannot be reserved in advance. Charging is paid via the eParking app.

Please note that charging points are available in several parking areas. If all charging points are full when you arrive on campus and you need to use a regular heating or non-heating pole space, you must purchase a parking permit for that space.

We continuously develop parking based on feedback. For example, the hourly-based short-term parking in area P1 was implemented based on requests.

eParking is a nationwide system, and unfortunately we cannot influence its operation directly as individual customers. Feedback about errors can be sent directly to the eParking provider. We recommend handling parking permit matters in the eParking service. If needed, we are happy to help with questions related to using the service.
