LAB offers versatile opportunities to gain international experience and increase your intercultural competence. Part of your studies at LAB can be completed by taking part in a student exchange programme or by carrying out practical training abroad.x

Exchange studies

As a LAB student you can complete one semester or one academic year in one of our partner institutions located all over the world. The main application period for the next academic year is in the beginning of calendar year and the supplementary application period for the spring semester in early September for all the remaining places from the previous application round.

Intensive weeks

If you are not keen to do a full academic semester abroad, LAB also offers a possibility to take part in shorter mobility periods around the year.

Placement abroad

You can do your placement abroad too - and just as easily as you would do it in Finland. You can, for example, combine studying and placement abroad so that you look for a placement during your exchange studies from that area.

Double degree

In certain study fields it is possible to complete a double degree. In that case you will be studying one academic year abroad.
