Eduroam network (Wi-Fi)

Both campuses offer a wireless network roaming service, Eduroam, for the students and staff to use.

Eduroam is meant for students and staff who use their own devices.

LAB University of Applied Sciences requires that students use their own devices for studying. Read further at BYOD.

How to connect to the Eduroam -network

Download the Eduroam network installation file from the following pages provided by the Eduroam service:

For your computer (e.g. Windows/MacOS/Linux/ChromeOS):
cat.eduroam.org

For mobile devices (e.g. Android/iOS, also available for Windows devices):
www.geteduroam.org

Downloading the installer is recommended as it will automatically configure the correct organisation-specific network settings. In addition, you can be sure that you are using a real Eduroam network, and not, for example, a network that is just named Eduroam.

When prompted, enter your LUT email address (firstname.lastname@student.lab.fi) and the password for your LUT Account.

You can also access Eduroam at other universities using the school credentials from your home school in the same way as on the Lappeenranta/Lahti campus.

If the installation file does not work for some reason, try forgetting the network and then try to connect to the Eduroam network manually and enter your LUT email address (firstname.lastname@student.lab.fi) and the password for your LUT Account.
