Course contents
Do you want to learn about the following topics?
- What does it mean to be a global citizen?
- Inequalities, demographical changes and social movements in the world
- To understand different concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and to recognize the benefits of managing diversity in organizations
- How your own actions as a consumer might have an impact to the other side of the world?
- How important it is to have a global mindset in today’s world?
Great possibilities for studies and networking in a multicultural group
- Students from Germany, Spain, Romania and Lithuania will join LAB students in Kaunas
- The best pre-assignment and multicultural group work will be rewarded!
- Fun learning and memorable experiences await for us!
Intensive programme
- Contents: pre-assignment, exchange to Kaunas, Lithuania, lessons and working in multicultural teams on a joint assignment, reflective essay to be written after the mobility period
- Pre-requirement: You must have completed at least 3 ECTS of studies related to Intercultural Awareness, Intercultural Communication or Management and Leadership as this course is not an introductory course.
- Project covers costs for travel incl. flight, train tickets and accommodation at a hotel. Cultural activities and some meals will be provided for.
- Lithuania is a clearly cheaper country than Finland.
- Number of study places from LAB: 6

Recruitment procedure
Write a motivation letter (at most 1 page long) with the following information:
- Why are you interested in the course?
- Reasons why you should be chosen for the intensive programme?
- How will you contribute to the learning of other students during the pre-assignment and the mobility period in Kaunas?
- Send your application by email to jaana.hakli@lab.fi by 17 March the latest
- 2-4th-year students are preferred in the selection. Students will be selected based on success in studies and the motivation letter.
