Lahti Campus

NiemiCampus in Lahti is a one campus area with two entrances - Mukkulankatu 19 and Niemenkatu 73.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we strongly recommend you to order your student/key card immediately through the website of the Student Union KOE.

You can either join the student union and get the student card which gives you student discounts but also works as a key card at  https://liity.jasrek.fi/en/KOE// or just the key card at https://kortti.jasrek.fi/en/KOE//.

To make the order, you need your student number which can be found from the online student registration system Peppi once you have activated your LUT ID. You can get your user ID to LAB systems from https://id.lut.fi.

The delivery time for the card is about 1.5-2 weeks and you will receive an email when the card has arrived to the Student Union’s office. Because of the pandemic, anyone coming to the campus will nee to enter the building by using their keycard. It is very important that you order your card as soon as possible because of the delivery time. Please notice that during the orientation week, you will be able to get into the campus without your card.

Lappeenranta Campus

Studying in the UAS building is possible from 7.00 to 22.00. Entrance doors are locked at 20.00 (Mondays to Fridays) and after that entry is only possible with a keycard.

Students can purchase a keycard from the student union KOE (room A1095) with a 10 € cash payment. The office is open from 10.00 to 14.15 unless agreed otherwise. Due to the Covid-19, the doors to the campus will be locked and can be access only with a keycard.

Purchasing the key allows students to use the premises in the evenings and on weekends as well as have 24/7 access to the library and the gym. The key stops functioning after graduation and if the student enrolls as absent.

All keycard activity around the campus is registered. All students entering the premises in the evenings and on weekends must log in with their key. Students must also log out when they leave the premises.

Keycards are only for personal use. Lending a key to another person is forbidden. Bringing friends or other people to the premises in the evenings or on weekends is forbidden.

The premises are guarded by the security services with electronic surveillance system and guards. Students must be able to prove their identity and study right if they are confronted by a guard. Guards can remove people from the premises if they cannot prove their identity. If a student causes an unnecessary alarm and a guard arrives to the premises, the student must pay the costs for the false alarm. The cost is around 60 euros.
