Finnish Transport Workers’ Union Strike will affect LUT Academic Library’s services

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union strike that began on Wednesday, February 15, and the Finnish Post and Logistics Union PAU’s support measures that began, February 16, will impact LUT Academic Library’s services. 

Because of the strike, books and other material will not be delivered from Lappeenranta to Lahti and vice versa. This means the delivery of reservations, magazines, journals, and interlibrary loans will be delayed.  According to the estimate of the Finnish Post, the delivery of parcels, letters, and magazines will be delayed by several days or by more than a week.
